will the same-sex marriage bill be killed by an election?

Worth noting: "Some Liberal MPs, particularly from Ontario, admit they wouldn't mind if the bill quietly dies before a vote, fearing their constituents oppose the legislation." Of course the bill could be brought before a new Parliament, after the election. Interesting, nonetheless. The ass-kicker in me wonders if some anti-same-sex-marriage Ontario Liberals could be persuaded to fail to appear at a crucial vote? I suppose the consequences would be too huge for those MPs to bear.
