I couldn't agree more that something needs to be done and that the current government's policies were quite shortsighted. This issue, for me, is the political minefield associated with restoring the GST. It's guaranteed that the Conservatives won't do it and, for the Libs, it seems like perfect cannon fodder for their opponents and critics.
