leaving the CPC

Perhaps unsurprisingly, I've decided to leave the Conservative Party of Canada. The idiotic party strategy on same-sex marriage is too much for me. But I've been considering leaving the party since its inception.

Have you heard of an organization called Canada25? They might be described as a self-selected think tank, I don’t know exactly: young people getting together and writing up what they think should be long-term policy in the best interests of Canadians. If you’re leaving your party, you might find reading some of their stuff an interesting stop along the way.

I’m on the C25 mailing list. Went to a couple of roundtables at Stanford.

I think George or Parker did something with them once.

  3. Jesse,

Good for you. Due to the Catholic Church of Canada’s position I’m going to boycott mass.

I don’t think you should be in a party either. The reason being that you are a party!

    In cod we trusted,

    David

C25 used to be on the front’r server or something.

It’s the best move for you, Jesse.

There are more opportunities in our generatian to be politically active, but not a party activist, or whatever.
